Aa Dinagalu - Movie Preview

Based on the 'Dadagiriya Dinagalu,' by Agni Sridhar, the film is directed by K M Chaitanya. The film claims to be based on several real incidents that happened in Bangalore's underworld in 1986. The late 1980s was the time when three underworld dons, Kotwal Ramchandra, Jairaj and Oil Kumar were trying to establish their supremacy in the City. The screenplay for the film is by Sridhar and Girish Karnad. Syed Aman and Ravindra are the producers of this film. K M Chaitanya is making his debut as a film director. He is a well known documentary film maker and the grandson of Rashtra Kavi J S Shivarudrappa.

Newcomers Chetan and Archana are playing the lead roles. Atul Kulkarni and Ashish Vidyarthi are playing underworld dons. Sharat Lohitashwa, Girish Karnad, Vinaya Prakash and Dinesh Mangalore are others in the cast. The two songs in the film are already a hit. Ilayaraja is back in Kannada films after a long gap. He has also sung a song for this film. H C Venu's camera work is something to watch out for.
