Actress Shruthi and Sunil Puranik are relieved from government boards with immediate effect after the memo sent from state government. Shruthi was serving as chairman of The Karnataka State Temperance Board since July 2021 and well know television actor Sunil Puranik was serving as chairman of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy since June 2021.
As both of the chairman’s had completed the max cap of one year of service, they were released from their duties on Tuesday afternoon. The memo issued by under secretary of department of culture, information and public relations Sri M Jesintha on behalf of the order by Karnataka state governor.
Both Shruthi and Sunil Puranik had done their best and were abide to their duties during their tenure. Sunil Puranik conducted 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival very effectively under Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.
On the other hand government retained Taara as Member (nominated) of Karnataka Legislative Council in BJP led Karnataka government.
